VETERINARY SERVICES

Kleintierpraxis Lyssbach is comprised of a modern hospital, surgical unit, radiology department and on-site laboratory.  We emphasize preventive care whenever possible to ensure a happy, healthy and long life for your pet.  We offer physical examination, vaccinations, heartworm and parasite prevention, geriatric health care programs for older pets, veterinary dentistry, and nutritional counseling services.

We recommend a complete physical exam for your pet on a yearly basis.  Lots of changes can occur from year to year, especially as your pet gets older.  Preventative health care recommendations are made based on examination findings and your pet’s individual needs and situation, which you help us to determine.  This may include blood, urine, or fecal tests, vaccinations, dietary or exercise advice, and life-style changes.

At Kleintierpraxis Lyssbach we believe pain management for post-operative surgical recovery, and for those medical conditions that have the potential to diminish your pet's quality of life, is extremely important.

On-Site Laboratory & Analysis

At Kleintierpraxis Lyssbach, you won't have to wait days for laboratory analysis.  Our fully equipped veterinary  laboratory allows us to perform advanced diagnostics such as electrolytes, blood chemistry analysis, and urine testing to help us determine the best treatment plan for your pet's medical condition. 

 

In critical situations, immediate results can be shared to help you and your Veterinarian determine treatment options  available for your pet's health care needs.

Advanced Radiology

Our modern X-Ray equipment ensures your pet has minimal exposure to radiation, while our automatic processor produces clear, quality films.  Within minutes, we can have your pet's X-rays taken, processed and ready for interpretation by our doctors.

EKG & PULSE OXIMETRY

Our EKG and Pulse Oximetry equipment can monitor your Pet's heart rate and vital signs to better determine how well your Pet is responding to treatment and during surgical procedures.

 

VETERINARY ULTRASOUND

 

Our veterinary ultrasound allows the doctors to examine your pet without invasive or painful procedures.  This pain free, non stressful procedure assists the doctor in diagnosing abdominal, cardiac, urinary, cervical, and many other problems your pet may be experiencing.

 

Veterinary ultrasound also helps the doctor in establishing a diagnosis and treatment plan to keep your pet happy and healthy for life.

 

 

 

 

 

 

NEW PUPPY & KITTEN VISITS

These first visits are especially fun and very important in getting your new pet off to a good start.  Our doctors perform thorough physical examinations, focusing on any internal or external parasite problems, congenital or developmental abnormalities. 

 

Any problems detected will be thoroughly explained and treated if possible. Necessary vaccinations will be performed at this time. Our doctors and assistants will give you the latest information about diet, training, and preventative care. 

VETERINARY CARE FOR OLDER PETS

We provide special attention to aging pets focusing on preventative measures and  the early detection and treatment of problems. 

Older patients commonly experience the same problems that older humans do – heart problems, diabetes, arthritis, chronic renal insufficiency, dental problems, hearing and vision loss, etc.

GOING TO BE TRAVELING?

If you're planning a trip outside the country with your pet, you'll need to know what forms, vaccinations and blood tests may be required by your host country. 

Please be advised some countries require this process to be started several months in advance.  Kleintierpraxis Lyssbach can help you with all your pet export questions.
